There are two types of Korean Fried Chicken - Dakgangjeong (닭강정) and Yangnyeom (양념치킨).
Dakgangjeong chicken is coated with potato starch and panko breadcrumbs for extra crunchiness, and glazed with a sticky sweet soy garlic sauce with a little spicy kick from the gochujang (Korean red chili pepper paste). This meal kit is made with the Dakgangjeong Chicken.
Yangnyeom, on the other hand is dredged in a batter, before deep-frying, and glazed with a spicy red sauce made from gochujang and gochugaru flakes (Korean red pepper flakes).
